Cerritos, CA-There is no greater honor than to have the endorsement of one’s own boss. The top boss of ABC Unified School District, where I teach 6th Grade GATE program, Board President Sophia Tse has graciously continued to endorse my campaigns for public office. Now, she’s supporting my candidacy for HB City Council too. As a longtime public schoolteacher in the ABCUSD, I’ve been supported in every possible way to do my job, and educate the youth of tomorrow. I benefit from having a living wage, health insurance, and a stable workplace. This has allowed me to pursue my other life’s work of public service in Huntington Beach. I want to mirror this and provide for the employees of the City, while maintaining a balance of fiduciary responsibility to the taxpayers of HB. It’s all about hearing from constituents, and this has been ongoing work in OVSD as well. I’m proud to currently be one of HB’s largest employers with over 1,000 employees. President Tse is not only a board member, but also a public health nurse and a college professor. She manages a nearly $300M yearly budget overseeing 30,000 pupils and knows what it takes to safeguard public funds. I’m proud to have her guidance and support!
