Westminster, CA-Thank you to talk show host and advocate Julie Diep and Little Saigon TV for interviewing me today about school safety and how we care for our students during this world of gun violence. Boards like OVSD, can be aggressive and take action to safeguard children. At Ocean View, we have security fencing, cameras, single point of entry system, the Raptor System, and more. We have instituted a mandatory shut and locked door protocol in OVSD, and no one is allowed on campus. Anyone who wants to come on campus must stand outside the locked school front door and call the office phone number to state their case to enter. We are implementing locking door and buzzer systems coming this 2022-2023 school year.
