OVSD News-Board Meeting Update

Huntington Beach, CA-From tonight’s March 22, 2022 Board of Trustees, a recap. Congratulations to Luis Camarena, Orange County’s Classified Employee of the Year in the Skilled Maintenance Worker category. Amazing work by Lake View students Makayla Mix and Maci Ford for being recognized by the Anaheim Ducks at their hockey game over the weekend for their designs. Wow, these girls are stars. The Districtwide Music Festival is going to be Thursday night at Marine View, and the City of HB’s student art show is coming up soon, featuring OVSD and HBUHSD student work. VP Patricia Singer and I will be attending the HB Assistance League’s event, they are having their annual fundraiser this Saturday at the HB Waterfront Hilton. VP Singer, Trustee Briscoe and I will be attending. Dr. Hansen and I were pleased to be expert panelists for the Robert Mayer Leadership Institute at the Goldenwest College last Wednesday. Lastly, we attended the City of HB/School Districts Quarterly Meeting to collaborate at City Hall. It’s been a busy week and we look forward to work upcoming fun!
