Trustee Comments from 1-9-24

Huntington Beach, CA-Last evening, our board of trustees met for the first meeting of 2024. We had a very productive session discussing various topics affecting students, teachers and the community at large. During my trustee comments I discussed my recent trip to Europe and about the widespread illness being experienced by many. We got to hear from Oak View’s principal and staff about their phenomenal work to increase student achievement while imparting a love for English language arts and writing competency. I also mentioned the exciting performances by Westmont VAPA students for the Winter Showcase in December. OVSD continues to impress me with outstanding and innovative programs for all!
